During this city tour we can see why the historic center is listed as a UNESCO site. While walking through the city we can appreciate the many beautiful historical buildings and traditional neighborhoods that Cuenca beholds.
ITINERARY
1- Pick up from your hotel or meeting point (ask us for the closest pick up location)
2- Starting the walk with a visit to the churches and main square in the historic center
3- We will be walking through beautiful and traditional neighborhoods where you will visit the Modern Art Museum and have the great opportunity to observe different houses in different architectural styles
4- Visiting the traditional food market ´Mercado 10 de Agosto´
5- Visiting the Panama Hat Museum
6- Visiting the El Turi viewpoint, where you will have an incredible view of Cuenca and the Tomebamba river, which divides the old and modern city center.

CAJAS NATIONAL PARK
Especially the many bird species and beautiful landscape make the Cajas National Park very popular for activities like bird watching and hiking. During a visit to this park you have the great opportunity to observe several of the 270 lakes and the unique and interesting flora and fauna of the paramo.
ITINERARY
1- Pick up from your hotel or meeting point for an one hour drive to reach the Cajas National park (ask us for the closest pick up location)
2- Visiting the ´Toreadora´ area at a height of about 3.960 meters. Here we will have a hike for about 3 hours observing several lakes and a Polylepis forest. The guide will explain you about the paramo vegetation
3- Lunch in the restaurant ´Dos Chorreas´
4- Visiting the lowest part of the park at 3.150 meter. Here we will make a hike around the lake for about an hour and 30 minutes
5- Return to Cuenca

INGAPIRCA
With a visit to Ingapirca you have the great opportunity to witness the largest known Inca ruins in Ecuador, as well as the remains of the earlier settlements of the Cañari indigenous people. The most significant building of Ingapirca is definitely the Temple of the Sun, which was constructed around a large rock in the typical Inca way.
ITINERARY
1- Pick up from your hotel or meeting point for a 2 hour ride to Ingapirca (ask us for the closest pick up location)
2- On your way you will visit the beautiful Biblian Church. Those who want to climb up about 140 steps to reach the church will have a spectacular view over the area
3- It depends on the day if we can visit an indigenous market of the Cañar (optional) Here the guide will inform us about the different products that are being sold there
4- Upon arrival we will visit the archeological complex Ingapirca, the most important Inca Ruins of Ecuador. Here the guide will explain us about the pre-Inca ruins and cultures. As a highlight the guide will show as the most significant building of the site; the ´Tahuantinsuyo´ Inca temple
5- It depends on the weather conditions that day if you can also visit the famous ´Cara del Inca´ , which is a gigantic rock with a natural formation of a human face
6- Return to Cuenca
